Awakening - Trailer Music

Another trailer piece, this time clocking in at approx 1m 30s - just the right length for a 90 second trailer spot. This trailer score has the popular "third act" beat of silence before going all out around the 1 minute mark, allowing for trailer editors to go to town on some over-the-top visuals. Well, that's the theory of it anyway.

Penance (Short Film) wraps Principal Photography

It will be a day long remembered. We have seen the end of 2014, and we'll soon see the end of... ahem... ok, maybe I can't squeeze that Vader anecdote in here, but if I'm gonna break the rules I'll also run on my sentences and put the word "but" after a comma... and other such grammatical fails. Anyway, Penance has wrapped and it was fun. Taxing, but fun. Taxing because of the immense heat of the day. Fun, because, well, it's just plain fun to be the cinematographer!

What better way to start 2015 than shooting a Zombie Music Video?

The question is rhetorical, of course. Newcastle was invaded by Zombies. Literally. No, I'm serious. We made our encampment along a certain trainstation and the local pub was the only half decent place with public amenities. So... we'd have extras in full make-up (read: They look like the undead) walking to the pub in droves during the lunch break.

The faces of the locals were priceless.
